NDOW publishes no sub-state density map or hunt-zone structure for mourning dove (a single statewide September 1 - October 30 season). The available signal is habitat/access-based rather than a density claim: doves cluster near water sources and agricultural grain fields in irrigated valleys statewide, in both northern Nevada's agricultural belt and specific southern Clark/Lincoln County public lands, with Overton Wildlife Management Area (Moapa Valley, Clark County) named specifically as a strong dove opportunity site bordering agricultural fields and Muddy River riparian habitat.
The federal survey cannot say whether Nevada dove numbers are rising or falling. Its 2016 to 2025 estimate comes out at -3.13% per year, but the range around it runs from -7.30% to +1.17%, wide enough in both directions that no direction can be called. Read that as unknown, not as steady. The figures also run through 2025, one season behind this fall.
