CT DEEP's Migratory Bird Hunting Guide (Aug.2026 - March 2027) sets a split season, Sept. 1-Oct. 15, 2026 and Oct. 23-Nov. 27, 2026, daily bag 25 / possession 75 for Virginia and sora rail. The same table separately lists Clapper and King rail (same season dates, lower bag: daily 10 / possession 30, no more than 1 king rail per day) as a distinct category outside this product's Virginia-rail/sora scope. Connecticut Migratory Bird Conservation Stamp required in addition to HIP.
