No wild chukar population exists in Connecticut to regionalize. DEEP's own fact sheet states the species exists in the state solely for preserve hunting and dog-training releases, and — unlike ring-necked pheasant and northern bobwhite quail, both of which DEEP itself stocks onto named public WMAs on a defined schedule — chukar carries no DEEP-run public stocking program with a mappable geography. Releases are private (licensed preserve operators and individual dog trainers), not tied to any particular part of the state, so there is no honest region to name.
No formal population survey program exists for this species in this state.
