Arizona's band-tailed pigeon season runs September 25 through October 8, 2026, daily bag 2 with a possession limit of 6 (HIP required). The federal Band-tailed Pigeon Population Status report -- the only source that tracks this species' population, part of the Four Corners management group along with New Mexico and Utah -- published September 1 and shows a flat Breeding Bird Survey trend for the group, no direction either way. Arizona Game and Fish's own banding/telemetry program is research data, not a pre-season forecast.
