Season dates were found only in the printed 2026 regulations PDF's season table -- the live DNR small-game web page's date table omits a Hungarian partridge row entirely (it appears only in that page's separate bag/possession limits table, with no dates), so the PDF is the sole source for this species' dates.
Tracked via MN DNR's August Roadside Survey (167 routes, since 1955), the same combined instrument covering pheasant. 2026 fieldwork (Aug 1-15, 2026) has just closed; a fresh direct fetch of the stable report URL (files.dnr.state.mn.us/recreation/hunting/pheasant/roadside_survey.pdf) confirms it still hosts the 2025 edition (dated 2 September 2025: gray partridge index 2.2 birds/100mi, up slightly from 1.8 in 2024 but 82% below the long-term average) as of 2026-08-19 — not yet overwritten with 2026 results. Expected early September 2026 per the 2025 precedent.
