Utah's band-tailed pigeon season runs September 1-14, 2026, statewide, daily bag 2/possession 6. HIP registration is required (the federal duck stamp is not); a separate free band-tailed pigeon permit is also required. Utah is part of the Four Corners population group, and that population's own interstate management plan states no inventory technique has been demonstrated effective for tracking it. There's no forecast to report, this year or any year, until that changes.
No demonstrated population-trend survey method exists for the Four Corners population at all, a structural gap rather than a publish-timing one.
