ODWC regulates mourning dove, white-winged dove, and Eurasian collared-dove under one combined regulation/bag limit. No bag limit on Eurasian collared-dove if head or one fully feathered wing remains naturally attached. Shotguns must be plugged to hold no more than 3 shells total. HIP permit required for hunters ages 18-63 (exemptions for under-18, 64+, and landowners on their own property).
No ODWC-specific pre-season population forecast exists beyond the national Central Management Unit banding program. Only the federal USFWS Mourning Dove Population Status report applies; re-confirmed not yet published for 2026 as of 2026-08-19.
