Pheasant & Quail Stamp – Valid through Dec. 31. Age 16+: $40. Required on all properties where NJ Fish & Wildlife releases pheasant or quail. NJFW

Birds stocked the evening prior to the hunting dates listed below. Pheasant & Quail Stamp required in addition to hunting license.

No Sunday hunting except commercial and semi-wild hunting preserves.

Hunting hours are now sunrise to ½ hour after sunset on every day of the season, with no separate opening-day start time.

Wearing a hunter orange hat is mandatory when firearm hunting for small game on wildlife management areas stocked with pheasant or quail.

The Oct. 31 morning mentored hunt needed registration, which closed Oct. 15; the afternoon and all-day hunts need none.
